Wearable OS (is an operating system) designed to meet the needs of wearable computers. Wearable OS can be important from one type of device to another, and the requirements of both desktop and mobile devices Can also be different from.

Wearable computers include various form factors and headsets such as Smartwatch, Smart Ring, embedded clothing, fitness and health monitor, such as Google Glass and Microsoft's HoloLens.

In addition to the diversity of equipment and the variety of their physical sizes, there are two main operating modes: Some wearable devices work in standalone mode, while other devices connected to the Internet, usually use a wireless connection for a smartphone.

For example, most smartwatches connect to the user's smartphone to enable their user interface. In that case, the wearable OS is essentially a mobile operating system that allows clock to serve as a user interface. Watch is effectively a wireless Bluetooth adapter in itself, which enhances the capabilities of the smartphone to make a watch, answer and start a user's phone call, read and direct emails and text messages, weather reports or Allows to get a score, listen to music or ask a question from a digital assistant.

On the other hand, a standalone smartwatch is usually dedicated to a specific purpose, such as monitoring GSP navigation or data related to healthcare, recording and broadcasting.
