Link Farms can be advertised as services to create your content. They are often established by creating a network - one that is often created with the sole purpose of gathering many locations, from which point to pointing to a website. Because Google dislikes links between unrelated sites, some link farms divide their links into categories or directories.

Link form Google's ranking algorithm was generated in response to PageRank. PageRank thinks of links to votes, where one page is linked to another page. Therefore, pages with the most links were considered valuable. Link forms were created to help increase PageRank, however, in recent days, Google and other search engines optimized their algorithms to prevent link algorithms from appearing at the top of search engine results pages (SERPs).

Web sites that create link farms can be punished by Google and other search engines.

Link farming is considered a "Black Hat" method of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) because content is not often related to web sites linking to one another, it is not created by humans (it uses programs or services Can be made) and have very little quality. Search engines can easily detect link farms and should not be seen as a valid long-term search optimization strategy.
