The following devices can access FaceTime on a Wi-Fi connection: iPhone 4 or later, iPad 2 or later, iPad mini, iPod Touch fourth generation or later. Beginning with iOS 6, Apple has allowed users to make FaceTime on 3G and 4G networks on iPhone 4G or later and on third generation or later iPads.

How to FaceTime

To turn on FaceTime, users open the app and sign in using the Apple ID; They can also sign in through device settings. Users can register by registering their email address as well. On iPhones, FaceTime automatically registers the phone numbers of users.

There are many options to make a face-to-face call. Users open the FaceTime app, enter another person's phone or email address, then tap the video or audio icon. On iPhone, users can start a FaceTime call during a phone call by tapping on the FaceTime icon. Users can also start a free time through the iOS Contacts app.

Users can also choose to block phone numbers in the FaceTime app settings. FaceTime does not support video conferencing or multicolor chatting - only one-on-one video call.
