Apple Can add Siri Shortcuts and Screen Time to MacOS
According to a report by Apple 9to5Mac Guilherme Rambo, MacOS wants to add more iOS features. And it starts with improvement in Siri. While Siri is available for some time on MacOS, it looks like Siri's Scale-Down version. Of course, you can ask for weather, NBA score or a word translation. You can also turn off Wi-Fi or view a file on your hard drive.
But Siri on MacOS does not work with any third-party app. You can not send a message on WhatsApp, you can not send money using square cash, you can not order a Uber order.
According to 9to5Mac, this will change with this fall to MacOS 10.15. Apple Siri is working on adding support for the shortcut, which means that you will be able to construct custom voice shortcuts in principle to run actions in third-party applications.
Existing macOS apps will not be able to add hooks for short shortcuts - this feature should be limited to those iOS ports that take advantage of the upcoming Marzipan frameworks. As a result, you can also expect the shortcut app to create your script in the visual interface. Shortcuts are equal to the automaker for iOS. Let's see what happens to the Automator after MacOS 10.15.
MacOS updates will not only focus on Siri You should expect to see the screen time, the iOS feature which tells how much time you've spent in each app on your device. The present implementation of Screen Time connects your usage on all your iOS devices such as your iPhone and iPad. If you want to see the full picture, then adding macOS data to the mix is the key.
Finally, Apple will allow you to control your Apple ID more easily from Mac. Rather than rely on Apple's website, you will be able to set up family-sharing and more from a new panel in system priority.
