PageRank - SEO
Google is the main way to rank web pages for placement on PageRank (PR) on a search engine results page (SERP). PageRank refers to the system and algorithmic method that Google uses to rank pages, as well as the numerical value assigned to pages in the form of digits.Generally Googlebot follows links as Google's webcrawler, links to web pages of indexing sites, and votes for the importance of a given site. The number of links to a page and the rights of the pages where the links appear, affect both how much they affect the ranking of the linked site.
Google Toolbar is a user-installed add-on for quick search, one of the first spots that most people have encountered PageRank. The add-on is now only available for Internet Explorer (IE) because its features were rolled into the Chrome browser.
Google Toolbar displays PageRank for the current page with a score of ten and one graph. This quick pagerank reference method was heavily utilized by search engine optimization (SEO) experts to evaluate both their own sites and the other. As a result of PageRank visibility, many unnecessary link request email and link spam have a great deal. Google has decided to release PageRank from its toolbar since then and the ranking will again become a background metric that can not be easily seen by users.
Other metrics that Google and other search engines use to determine the importance of a website include:
- Page Speed
- Longevity of the page on the web
- Users spend time on the site.
- Include anchor text providing a clear signal for linking
- Using exploitative SEO strategies
Although the name is self-explanatory - PageRank is used to rank pages - it is also called Larry Page, who founded Google and developed PageRank with Sergey Brin.
