Retina Display - Apple
Apple retina display is a backlit LCD (liquid crystal display) that provides a resolution level of 220 to 326 pixels per inch. Recent models of Apple's mobile devices and MacBook Pro notebook computers include retina displays.
Retina display includes an ambient light sensor that allows automatic screen brightness adjustment to look optimum in the atmosphere from dark to sunlight. Apple has registered the name "Retina" in the form of a trademark, although the display is manufactured by LG or Samsung based on special devices.
